This varied and wonderful landscape provides a splendid variety of forage for bees. Our eastern edge is the dramatic Wye valley with its steep wooded hillsides, leading up to the Trellech ridge. The central area consists of undulating farmland with small fields and many hedges. To the south is the Severn Estuary with marshland and the famous Gwent levels. To the west we embrace some of the hills and valleys of industrial Wales and the most southerly piece of heather moor in the country. Finally, to the north we extend into the beautiful Llanthony Valley.
